POCO F7 Review: A Low-Budget Phone

Build and Design:

The cover they have given could have been made transparent as well. It would have flexed the design a little. The phone weighs 223 grams. It is a big phone with a big battery, and it feels heavy in the hand. And this is without cover. If you put a cover on it, it feels heavy. Performance and Benchmarks:

We get Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and as it is a gaming phone, we geta  480Hz touch sampling rate, which means the input will be real-time if you are playing esports.

The bezels are also very great. They are very even, 94.23% screen to body ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ support, Dolby Vision, TUV Rheinland low blue light, flicker-free, and circadian-friendly certification. It is made according to multimedia. Brand says that it can go up to 1700 nits in high brightness mode and peak brightness up to 3200 nits. Honestly, if you see this much brightness on your phone, you will go blind.

If you use it indoors or even outdoors, then the display is good. High brightness mode and peak brightness mode reach higher brightness in a particular area according to your usage. They record in testing and market it. So, there is a difference in this. And if all-time brightness is around 700, 800, or 900 nits, then it is very good.

In the case of smartphone, It comes with Widevine L1 support, You can watch 1080p content on OTT, 4K 60p HDR video is good on YouTube HDR tuning is also good and it shows support of Dolby Vision on Netflix Dolby Vision is better than HDR, You will get good dynamic range if you watch Dolby Vision content on this display And it is good to watch content, Display colors are good, Overall size is good, So it is fun, If you have a big focus on multimedia in a smartphone Then this can be a good choice for you.

Battery:

The most important part of this phone is its battery, 7550 mAh. It is so heavy. And the phone feels very warm when you charge it. Battery backup is very good. It has 12-13 hours of SoT. If you are using it casually, you can easily use it for 2 days. So, those who are too lazy to charge their phones can use this phone. And its 90W charger can charge it in 1 hour, so the charging speed is also good.

Camera:

Now the most negative part of this mobile is its camera. Poco F series doesn’t focus on the camera. We have seen that the F series focuses on the display, battery, and performance. The primary camera is oa50MP with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and the front camera sensor is 20MP. You can record up to 4K 60FPS with the back camera and 1080P 60FPS with the front camera. It gives flat color in some places, and in some places it gives a very bright color. And the dynamic range is very awful.

It doesn’t capture the details. Overall, it is not a consistent camera. And if you see the photos of humans, then the skin tones are very inconsistent according to the lighting. Sometimes it overprocesses, sometimes it is natural, sometimes it is flat. It is a nnormal day-to-daypurpose camera that takes photos. It is not a social media-centric camera.

AI Features:

There are many features like iPhone, AI writing, its implementation is everywhere, like proofreadingsu summarizinga nd extension. Writing styles are general, professional, simple, and friendly. And all these features work well. With AI speech recognition, you can convert any call or normal voice recording into text. Sometimes it misses the written part because it speaks fast, but that will also improve in time. And you get an AI Translate conversation, if two people talk to each other in different languages, which is used for face-to-face conversation. And you will get an AI interpreter. You can do live translation in a call.

Audio Haptics:

The speaker at the bottom is a little loud and the one at the top is a little less loud The sound is good and the sound is crispy too, The speakers are not disappointing And yes, Dolby Atmos support is also there, You can choose the sound effect in the settings, Dolby Atmos or Xiaomi sound In which you can get good output in the earphones and speakers and haptics are also good, It has used X-axis motor, It is smooth and has jig-jig type vibration And implementation is also good like it reduces volume or when you lock the phone.

OS and UI:

So there are good numbers in updates and security, and you get good bloatwares like you will take the phone out of the box. The 120Hz display works on the whole UI. In some applications, it will work on 60Hz, but you get the option in display settings. You can turn on 120Hz in all applications. So, you will get smooth 120Hz audio everywhere. Talking about UI, you can customize the lock screen, you can install AI dynamic wallpaper, Edge lighting is on in notifications, the size of icons has increasedyouou can customize the AOD, and you get a lot of wallpapers in this.
