OnePlus NORD CE 5 Full Review: Should You Buy This Phone?

Build, Design, and Quality:

Let’s talk about the design. The design can be very subjective. Some people might like it, and some might not. The minimal design is very good, and the back glass is also very good. It gives a premium feel. The sides are matte too. It would have been better if it had a stainless steel finish. But it’s okay. It’s good. If you like minimalism more. The rest is in the polycarbonate build. So, if it had metal, it would have given a better feel in the hand and when you use it. But it’s okay. Polycarbonate is also giving a 1+ at this price point. It’s a big deal. If they want, they can cut the price in this too. But, as such, there is no major complaint in terms of design.

Apart from that, we get 3 different color options. We have black, blue, and marble white. The white and black are really good, more than blue. And if we talk about the front, it looks like this. The glass on the front has no protection. But yes, it is a flat display. There is no curved display. So, you won’t face any problem with protectionCurveded displays are more sensitive. They also have a screen guard. For this, a normal screen guard will be available. There is no problem with the flat one.

Ports:

Rest, on the bottom side, our Type-C port is 2.0. According to me, this budget should have given 3.2. It comes in a lot of smartphones. So, it has only one drawback,k that you won’t get much file transfer speed. Plus, it doesn’t get any display output support. So, you can connect it to a big T, but it supports audio if you want to connect Type-C earphones.

There is a hybrid slot next to the Type C port in which you can install da ual sim or an SD card. You can expand it to 1TB, but you will have to install only one sim with the SD card. You can either install two sims or one sim with the SD card. The battery is very big in this phone,ne but it doesn’t feel that heavy. It has exactly 199 grams of weight. It is exactly 1 gram away from 200 grams. And according to such a big display size, this weight is fine.
You will not feel much. Plus, it is very thin. It is around 8.17 mm in thickness. And yes, it hasan  IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. But it is not waterproof. So there will be no problem with some splashes. But don’t soak it in water.

Display:

So the display is 6.77 inches 120 Hz OLED LTP-S display. It is not LTP; LTPO comes in premium flagship phones. But it is also very symmetrical; you get to see very few bezels in it, and overall, it will give you a big view. The viewing angles are also good; there is no problem, and OLED has very good colors, so you can see the content. It will be fun to do daily work. It will give you a very good feeling. And 120Hz makes it feel very smooth. And it’s not like you will get to see a shutter or jitteriness. You will get support for 120Hz in most places. Which is a good thing. And multitasking is also very good in its display. And the brightness is 800 nits. You will get the peak brightness, which you will use for normal usage, and if you use it in HBM mode, then it goes up to 1300 nits maximum.

If you use it outdoors or if you watch any Netflix HDR video, then you will not feel much difference in HBM and peak brightness because there is not muchdifference; it comes with 2500 nits or 2000 nits of brightness. So, you can see how much brightness matters for you. The brightness is not low. It may be that sometimes there is a problem in direct sunlight. The colors are very good. Since it is an OLED panel, there is no tension in the colors. You will get to see amazing colors. You will get a color-accurate display everywhere. The HDR10+ support is also provided. HDR is supported on Netflix as well. You can also play 4K 60 HDR content on YouTube. Overall, you will get very punchy, vibrant, and fulfilling colors.

Speakers:

But speakers also matter for entertainment. And speakers are a bit of a pain in the phone. Because you get only one single speaker in this. At this time, in low budget phone, you also get dual speaker but this phone has only a single speaker. The loudness is good, but the dual speakers will be missing because the stereo is more fun to watch content. So it depends on how much you use your mobile speakers. If you only watch ringtones, messages, or normal shots,s then you will not face any problem. If you watch more movies on your phone and you need dual speakers,s then you will feel it.

Specifications, Performance, and Benchmarks:

Its processor is the main point because we will get performance from it. And in this, you get the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex processor. You can see the Geekbench 6 score here. In thepicture you can see the Geekbench AI benchmark. Youcan see the AnTuTu score here, 1.4 million rounds came. The score is similar to the A16 chi, p, but the difference between the two is very big. The A16 chip is better than the A16 chip.

But if you are a user who only has one application, it gives more load on a single application,, likeif if you have done video editing sometimes, or if you prefer to do more gaming in which you are playing games for 2-3 hours in one game and means it is more loaded on a single application then you will feel a difference in performance. Camera:

The camera is also good, la ot of things, and could have improved a little more. Like the main camera behind it comes with a 50MP Sony LYT600 sensor and OIS is supported in the main camera. The second lens is the ultra-wide 8MP with fixed focus and 112 degree field of view. Which makes it wide. The front camera is 16MP with fixed focus andan  IMX 480 sensor. These sensors are not the latest. There are many more latest sensors in the market, like the 700 series. They have integrated this phone well so that you won’t face any problem as such. If we talk about video output, the main camera supports up to 4K6,0 but the front camera can’t record above 1080p 60. Whereas this same 16MP sensor comes with 4K60 in many smartphones.

The camera UI is the same as the typical oOnePlusstyle, and you get some options like Photo, video, pro mode, portrait mod,e and moreYouou can change it in different patterns like this one and this one and we also get this rectangular layout for both front and back camera and in video we get two smart scenes and one more thing is that you can change the aperture in video so it makes a good depth of field. The quality is good. The colors are good. It feels natural. It doesn’t feel like there is over-saturation or fading. Overall, it looks good. Night clicks are also very great,t it is not too bad. It is of good quality. The main sensor is of good quality.

Software:

Now talking about UI, we get Oxygen OS 15 based on Android 15, whereas 16 is our latest Android at the moment. Now, because OnePlus has promised 4 years of uupdates and6 years of security updates. A lot of new features were added, and you must have seen that. Those who are already using the Oxygen OS 16, they know. Overall UI is very smooth. There were no bloatware applications.

There were some applications like App Market. You can disable them. They have also enabled ads on the screen. So you can turn all these things off by going to the settings. So do it, or else you will have to worry about your ads. It runs very well, it is fun to run, the 120Hz feeling is very good, and the multitasking is very good. It has a floating window feature and a split view feature, which you can do on tablets.

AI Features:

Talking about AI features, you will get Google Gemini in it. So, all the features of Gemini come in it, and we also get support for Live in it. You can also use the Circle to Search feature in it. And you will get all the writing tools and AI features that are coming in every phone in it. And yes, it has an inbuilt call recording feature. So, if that feature was oapriority for you, then you will get that in this phone. But as far as I know, the person in front tells you that the call is being recorded. This doesn’t happen in Samsung.

Battery:

The biggest highlight of the battery is that it has a very large battery of 7100 mAh. And it’s a crazy backup. It works well for 1 day and 1.5 days for light usage. You can use it for 2 days too. It fits in a tablet. Superbook 80W charger charges it in 30-35 minutes. It takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to charge. It is still a fast charger with such a big battery. So what’s the problem? Enjoy it, use it immediately,y and then it will work for 1-2 days.

For safety, we get a fingerprint scanner in it. They have given the bottom side so much. It opens well, that is, you will put it, press it, and it opens in 1 second,d and it works well to a great extent.
